Marking a significant anniversary, a quarter of a century has passed since the legendary Data East introduced the Time Machine pinball. The name has since taken on a symbolic significance, transforming all pinball machines into time machines, relics of a bygone era. While the traditional arcade may be a thing of the past, the number of pinball enthusiasts and collectors continues to grow.

The memories of standing before these machines or eagerly awaiting a turn at the arcade remain etched in our minds. Beyond the dazzling lights, vibrant colors, and lively sounds of pinballs, a mystical world of childhood dreams still resonates with us. Even as adults, this dreamworld lives on within us.

My love for pinball traces back to the 70s, where it all began at camp sites and arcades of my childhood. Since then, pinballs have continued to thrill me, prompting me to explore new ones whenever the opportunity arises. Over the past four years, I’ve connected with numerous individuals who share my passion for pinball. This shared enthusiasm inspired me to establish an ‘institute,’ where pinballs take center stage, providing experiences for both technology history enthusiasts and pinball rookies alike.

After years of dedication, I finally secured a license in April 2013 to open the museum/exhibition. Pbal Gallery welcomed its first visitors on April 10th, 2014.
